尚广志，美国佛罗里达州立大学（Florida State University）商学院副教授、运营管理博士，现任《Journal of Operations Management》和《Decision Sciences》的部门主编。尚教授主要从事消费者退货管理和服务劳工问题的研究，取得了非常优异的学术成果，在国际顶级期刊（如MIS Quarterly, Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Decision Sciences等）上发表10余篇高质量学术论文。
内容简介：
Bitcoin is the world’s best-known and most popular cryptocurrency with simple registration process. Software wallets applications designed for smartphones, computers, and web interface are the most popular type of Bitcoin wallets among new users, as they are quite accessible and easy to register. Many people downloaded Bitcoin software applications out of curiosity, that causes huge number of Bitcoin wallets staying dormant just after registered. In this report, we only analysis the wallet addresses with at least one BTC transaction on-chain. By the end of 2022, there are more than 1 billion BTC wallet addresses worldwide, which are belonged to 470 million users。
Many cryptocurrency researchers have suggested that Blockchain might provide a solution to the issue of wealth inequality in a free market-based economy (Chohan, 2019; van den Hoven et al., 2019; Othman et al., 2020). However, after the high speed development since 2009, the problem of wealth inequality in Bitcoin system has became increasing serious. There are two possible reasons for explaining this remarkable centralization of wealth in Bitcoin system.
